How to add contacts

For those of your who are wondering how to add contacts so you can start building your Cellflare social empire..... Here is the answer!
When you log in to your account on the website you will see a section called Contacts above your homepage map. Click on that and in there there will be a search bar on the top right hand corner. Type in your contacts first and last name or email to search for your friends.

Hello
I follow your instructions and the reply comes back that there are no contacts available!
how does it work? do my contacts have to sign up as well?
does this work off my contacts list?
Do all contacts have to have gps on their cell phones and must they have a data plan as well

Just like any other site ie. Facebook and Myspace your friends have to have an account and be signed up with Cellflare. Only registered users will come up in your contacts search. Once you search either their name or email they will come up, click to add them and once they accept your request you will then be able to share your location with each other on your phone and on the computer.
Having a GPS enabled phone and a data plan is needed for anyone to successfully use our app. |

Your friends do need to be Cellflare members for you to locate them. However, there is also another way that you may not be aware of - it's called the Quick Locate PIN. This way, your friends, family and colleagues that aren't Cellflare members can see what you're up to - in real time! Here's the link

Change the PIN number as many times as you wish (if you don't want a friend to see you anymore, for instance)

| Hi, I was sucessful at adding my contacts and see them in my contact list on my Plam Pre however, it does not show where they are. There is a box that pops up that says show contact on map, email or send message however you can not click on "show contact on map". Am I doing something wrong? |

Hi,
You can't click on it because the contact isn't online. You can tell if they are online if they have a green dot beside their name, if the dot is gray then they are not online. The map is a "live map" and only shows their current location.
Try again when your contact goes online. |

| First of all you have to go to the member area when you sign in, then you will see the bar across the top that says members. If they are not a member, you can't see them. |

I just signed up and downloaded the app but I would love to be able to import all of my contacts from gmail/facebook/etc to see if they have signed up and are using your service.
If they haven't , I could select the people I would like to invite to download the app, sign up for service and therefore track.
Is this in the works? If not, I don't really see why I would keep this on my phone because manually entering hundreds of e-mail addresses isn't on my 'fun stuff to do' list.
This would be an excellent way for you to gain new users. |

Thanks for your feedback.
An Invite Friends feature is currently in development and as you state it would be an excellent way to gain new users. The first will be the ability invite Friends from Facebook and to email invitations, and then to import addresses from Windows Live (Hotmail, Messenger) and then Gmail.
Here is what I posted a couple of days ago:
"We are currently developing an Invite Friends Feature for Cellflare to allow you to invite your friends to share Cellflare and its features.
We have just launched the first trial of this with a Facebook invite. You can find it on the Cellflare Website in the member area in the top right corner. Please use it to share Cellflare with your friends. Coming in 2 weeks, you will be able to invite your Windows Live contacts (including Hotmail, Messenger, and Mobile contacts). If you try it out let me know what you think.
Currently you can invite any of your friends who are already on Cellflare, by searching for their name or email information and they will receive an email invitation, with appropriate links and you can add a custom message.
Please let us know your feedback as to which services are the most relevant to you the user for this, and any features you would like to see."
And like I said, please keep the feedback coming.
