As conventional media adapts to survive E-Coupons and promotions may offer a lifeliine to marketing an advertising agencies around the world. The benefits get passed along to the businesses represented and of course to the end consumer.
E-Coupons can target your demographics through proximity marketing. This is achieved by geo-tagging your business. When a potential customer passes within the predetermined perimeter they receive an electronic coupon to their cell phones. This of course saves thousands of $$$ in printing costs which also benefits the environment.
From a business standpoint you can create greater awareness of your product and or service and you will gain measurable metrics through redemption of the E-Coupons. The business also sees how many potential customers are in proximity to their location which helps to target promotion times and staffing schedules.
Overall a great advancement in marketing and advertising. |

| Traditional advertising has it's spot. I don't think that's going away. Someone in the world has endless supplies of money for this kind of thing - but for those who are looking forward, mobile marketing simply makes more sense. Environmentally...great. I can see that. But businesses frankly look at the bottom line first and foremost. And if the way of the future is cheaper, then I think most will be all for it. |
