blackberry pearl 8110 issue

| for some reason, I can not login on the cellflare app on my blackberry 8110 pearl. It does not allow me to type in the login and password information boxes. Has anyone had this issue? I am running 4.5 on my ATT pearl |

Hmmm...I had the 8110 before i got the new BOLD, I never had this problem. The best bet for you would be delete the app and download it again, do you know how to delete this from your phone?

| Sada, did you run 3.0 on the Pearl? She was running the old version of Cellflare with no issues like this. She is currently out of town, but when she returns, we will try to reinstall. |

we have reinstalled the app twice and each time when we start the app, everything comes up fine but when you try to enter your email address and password information, you can not enter it in the fields allocated. You can see that the blackberry is typing, but you can not see where.
once again, on version 2 this was not happening, but on version 3, it is. Anyone using an older blackberry (Pearl or such) and having this issue?
The blackberry was upgraded to 4.5 a couple days ago and no other app is giving it any issues.

Wow! Now thats a thinker, version 2? OK i will go talk to the Cellflare team and see if they can make heads or tails of it. Version 3 should be much easier and better to use, then version 2.

| Did anything come of this? I tried reinstalling 3.01 for BB yet again last night and yes, the same thing happens. We can not fill in the forms for her email address and password. Does anyone have a BB Pearl 8110 here? Are they having the same issue? I would love to have her use this app since I love it with my Palm Pre. Yes, she will be getting a new phone eventually, but cell flare should work with a pearl doncha think? |

| It worked with my pearl, but it did give me a few bumps here and there. I think it may be the phone it self, I work with some people who call it "baby blackberry" as it never has all the features. I can't say anything about version 3.0 as i had moved to the BOLD by then. How are you liking the palm? Cool eh? |

| yeah, it works fine with the palm... but, unfortunately since it doesn't work with the pearl, I will have to find some other app that does the same thing with the pearl. There was a program called Instamapper that worked fine with the pearl....will look and see what is out there for us, as a couple.... |

| What i will do as well is, bring in my old 8110 into the office and perhaps the developers can find out what the problem may be. Stand by for an answer...hopefully! |

| I don't think it will happen on the 8110 (Cellflare will work, but it seems that the phone just doesn't pick up the signal as fast as it does on all other phone), the software is too old. That's why I went from the 8110 to the BOLD, and I'm loving it!! |

| Yes, I had that problem once too? You mean you can't type or anything - correct? This was a strange bug, not Cellflare related, more related to the BlackBerry Pearl. I don't know what to really do there? |

Hi,
I'm sorry for the problems that you are experiencing. We have just uploaded our new Blackberry version (version 3.1) to the Blackberry App World, and it's available for download now.
http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/search/cellflare
Try installing that version and see if it fixes the problem. Are you able to see the text fields on the screen? As long as you can see them, there shouldn't be any reason why you can't enter your username and password with the keypad.
On this version, you can now track Pre's, so both of you will be able to see each other on the mobile device now. |

ok, thanks for trying....
I try to download the new version, again, and I get a message that says "application requires the following module, which is not installed:
net_rim_bbapi_meaasgelist". After some searching, that is a module that is in 4.6 and ATT 8110 are only on 4.5. So, there is not a way to make Cellflare work on a ATT Blackberry Pearl 8110 at this time.... |
